A complete 14-day immersion into the Kingdom of Wonder. This journey connects the tragic history of Phnom Penh with the charming colonial streets of Battambang and the scenic river boat to Siem Reap. Explore the depths of the Angkor complex—including the jungle-clad Beng Mealea—before discovering the pre-Angkorian Sambor Prei Kuk. Conclude with three days of pure relaxation on the southern coast.
Upon arrival Phnom Penh airport, greeting by our friendly tour guide, transferred direct to hotel to check-in. (Standard check in time is 2:00 PM).
Overnight in Phnompenh
Morning: Our guide will pick you at your hotel and start Phnom Penh city tour with the Royal Palace, built by King Norodom in 1866 on the site of the old town, and the Silver Pagoda, located within the grounds of the Royal Palace, the Silver Pagoda is so named because of its floor, which is made up of 5000 silver tiles. The treasures found inside includes a solid gold Buddha encrusted and weighing 90 kilograms and a small 17th century emerald and baccarat crystal Buddha. Continue your visit to National Museum (called as Musee des Beaux-Arts). Next, you’ll visit a French archaeologist and painter, Georges Groslier, designed it in Khmer style in 1917. The museum contains a collection of Khmer art - notably sculptures – from throughout the ages.
Afternoon: Continue to visit Wat Ounalom, another of Phnom Penh's five original monasteries (1422). It housed the Institute Bouddhique and library. On the riverfront about 250 meters north of the National Museum, facing the Tonle Sap River near the Royal Palace, this pagoda serves as the headquarters for one of Cambodia’s most revered Buddhist patriarchs. Last stop at Wat Phnom Temple, a small hill crowned by an active Wat (Pagoda) marks the legendary founding place of the Phnom Penh.
Morning: Breakfast at hotel, today start your tour to visit Killing Fields "Choeung Ek" 15km southwest of Phnom Penh. This one is the site of brutal executions of more than 17,000 individuals, most of whom first suffered through interrogations, torture and deprivation in Toul Sleng Prison during Pol Pot regime (From 1975–1979).
Afternoon: Continue visit to Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum (S21 prison). This prison was a high school, and used as a prison by Pol Pot's security forces and became the largest center for detention and torture during the rule of the Khmer Rouge. Also, visit Russian Market (Psah Tuol Thom Pong), a lively outdoor market where you will find antiquities, silver and gold jewelry, gems, silk, kramas, stone and wood carvings, as well as T-Shirts, CDs and other souvenirs. Last stop at Independence Monument (Vimean Ekareach) built in 1958 as a memorial to Cambodia's war dead and to celebrate independence from foreign rule, the monument stands majestically on the intersection of Norodom Boulevard and Sihanouk Boulevard in the centre of the city. It is designed by the influential Cambodian modern architect Vann Molyvann in the form of a lotus-shaped stupa in the same style seen at the great Khmer temple at Angkor Wat and other Khmer historical sites.
At 8:00 AM, pick up by our guide and driver for private overland transfer to Battambang Province (291 Km, approximate 5hour’s drive).
Along the way, we will stop and discover the abandoned royal city of Udong (early 17th century) and enjoy the amazing countryside view from the top of the hill. Arrive at Kampong Chhnang visiting Pottery Village to see the different aspects of pottery-making. Continuation of the road to Battambang, charming provincial town then check in hotel.
This morning, start tour to visit the archeological Provincial Museum. Then, we drive along the picturesque river to Wat Sangker Slaket Pagoda, the former residence of the provincial Buddhist patriarch. Next, visit the village along the Sangke river, stop at village in countryside that produce the rice paper. We continue to visit the Temple of Ek Phnom which is an old ruin Angkor the 11th century built as a Hindu temple under Suryavarman I. The temple consists of prasats on a platform with some carvings in pretty good condition. Wat Ek Phnom, a modern pagoda, sits next to the ruins.
Afternoon, try out for a ride on the Bamboo Train, a fun experience and also a great opportunity to see the sunset view at countryside. It’s like a childhood dream come true.
In the evening visit Phnom Sampov, and "Killing caves" Temple on a hill and every evening at dusk, from 17:30 to 5:50 p.m., thousands of bats leave the cave in an endless stream. Overnight in Battambang.
Today, transfer to Siem Reap. The distance is 170 km, which takes around 3 to 4 hours. Upon arrival in Siem Reap, will directly transfer you to your hotel. Overnight at hotel in Siem Reap.
Get up in the early dawn. At 04:30am, our driver and guide will pick up for the Sunrise moment at Angkor Wat. You may request restaurant to pack breakfast box for you so can have picnic breakfast by the temple after sunrise. Then we continue to visit Angkor Wat in more detail. Angkor Wat is a World Heritage Site since 1992, famous for its beauty and splendor. Angkor Wat features the longest continuous bas-relief in the world, which runs along the outer gallery walls and narrates stories from Hindu mythology. Continue our visit the famous Bayon temple, unique for its 54 towers decorated with over 200 smiling faces of Avolokitesvara. Continue visit to the Phimeanakas, the Royal Enclosure, the Elephants Terrace and the Terrace of the Leper King.
Afternoon, visit Ta Prohm, with enormous fig trees and gigantic creepers embracing themselves in the stone foundations of the structure giving the impression of man’s creation being reclaimed by the powerful forces of nature is an incredible sight.
Morning, transfer and visit to the temple of Preah Khan Temple, built by the King Jayavarman VII. Preah Khan is like Ta Prohm, a place of towered enclosures and shoulder hugging corridors. Unlike Ta Prohm, however, the temple of Preah Khan is in a reasonable state of preservation and ongoing restoration efforts should maintain and even improve this situation. Continue the visit to Neak Pean, a fountain built in the middle of a pool (representing the paradisiacal Himalayan mountain-lake), then Ta Som, built in late 12th century C.E. the most distant temple on the grand circuit, small but classic.
Afternoon, explore Srah Srang ("The Royal Baths" was once used for ritual bathing), then continue the visit at East Mebon, 500metre (1,640feet) north of Pre Rup. It was built in the second half of the tenth century (952) by king Rajendravarman II, dedicated to Siva (Hindu), an ancestor temple in memory of the parents of the king with following the Pre Rup style art. Last we will withness the spectacular sunset view from the top Pre Rup Temple. Pre Rup is a temple at Angkor, Cambodia, built as the state temple of Khmer king Rajendravarman and dedicated in 961 or early 962. It is a temple mountain of combined brick, laterite and sandstone construction.
After tours, return to hotel. Overnight in Siemreap
At 8:00AM, picked up from their hotel in the morning by the local guide and driven to Ta Prak Village, 25 minutes out of town. A packed breakfast from the hotel will be taken and on arrival will meet and sit down with a local family and share this breakfast with them and to learn about local village life early in the morning when generally it is at its most active. From here, take a 30-minute ox cart ride through the village to a local market. Take a short walk through this bustling center and be introduced to Cambodian vegetables, herbs, fruits and other local produce. Continue 1 km by foot through the picturesque countryside village, stopping to meet the local community along the way to observe whatever seasonal activity is happening at that time, such as rice planting, weaving thatch roofs, planting or harvesting vegetable crops, making fish traps etc. Each tour will be different and the activities will depend on the time of the year, the family, and the needs of the local village. The surrounding countryside with its paddy fields and sugar palm trees is very typical for Cambodia. End the morning at the local pagoda where a special water Blessing by Buddhist Monks await. At the end of your ride, have a fresh coconut juice.
Continue and travel out to Kampong Phluk, a village a bit further away but which receives very fewer tourists. Thus, this stilted village is the best place to see the authentic life of the local fisherman and their families who live amongst the flooded mangrove forest. At Kampong Phluk, board a local boat for a ride on the lake. On the way, see houses on stilts that are submerged with the lake extends, pass by floating houses and impressive flooded forests and get a good feel for life on the water. Enjoy the beautiful scenery dominated by the tranquility of the lake.
After tours, transfer back to hotel.

More than just a circus, Phare performers use theater, music, dance, and modern circus arts to tell uniquely Cambodian stories, folk, and modern. Breakfast at hotel, free until time to check out (Check out time is 12:00 noon), then transfer without guide to Siem Reap Airport for departure flight. Upon arrival at Sihanoukville Airport (KOS), our driver (no guide) will welcome and transfer you directly to hotel in Sihanoukville for check in, or transfer direct to Boat Pier to take speed boat to Koh Rong
